Some people think that all there is to Primm are the casinos and well, yes, they would be right.
But the best actual entertainment you can get is without a doubt the shows in and around the Star of the Desert Arena:
The Hypnotist Spectacular
When I first heard about The Hypnotist Spectacular, I must admit, I was a bit skeptical. Hypnosis? Really? But this show at Primm Valley completely changed my mind.
The hypnotist is a charismatic fellow with a flair for the dramatic and he knows how to work a crowd. He picks volunteers from the audience, and before you know it, they’re clucking like chickens or dancing like nobody’s watching.
What to Expect
The show kicks off with some mind-bending tricks that leave you wondering if it’s all real or just a very elaborate ruse. The hypnotist’s ability to put people under his spell is impressive, and the way he gets them to perform hilarious acts is pure entertainment. The atmosphere is electric, and you can feel the excitement (and a bit of nervousness) from the audience as they wait to see what happens next.
I remember the first time I attended The Hypnotist Spectacular at the Star of the Desert Arena. I was seated near the stage, and the hypnotist asked for volunteers. My friend, who swore she’d never fall for hypnosis, got called up.
Within minutes, she was convinced she was a famous opera singer, belting out tunes that left the entire audience in stitches. Watching her perform was both hilarious and astonishing, and we still laugh about it today.
UB40’s Red Red Wine Tour
UB40 is coming to July 27th at the Star of the Desert Arena. If you can go I’d whoheartedly reccomend it. They’re amazing performers!
Back in 2019, I attended a UB40 concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The atmosphere was electric, filled with anticipation. As the band took the stage, opening with “Red Red Wine,” the crowd erupted. The lead singer’s voice was smooth, the band’s performance flawless.
During “Kingston Town,” the audience’s phone lights created a sea of stars, a moment of pure magic. Ending with “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” the night was a perfect blend of nostalgia and live music magic. It’s a memory I’ll always treasure.
Flo Rida
I’m not all that into rap myself but legendary Flo Rida is coming to the area October 12th.
If you’re significantly younger or more ‘hip’ than I am, you’ll probably enjoy this one. Peacefull Primm Nevada won’t know what hit it!
Rock Legends Live
I never thought I’d find a rock show in Primm that could rival the big city venues, but Rock Legends Live proved me wrong. This tribute show brings the best of classic rock to life with amazing covers of legends like The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Queen.
One night, I decided to catch Rock Legends Live at the Star of the Desert Arena. The tribute to Queen was phenomenal, and I was swept up in the nostalgia of classic rock. During “Bohemian Rhapsody,” the entire audience sang along, and the energy was palpable.
It felt like a genuine rock concert, and for a moment, I forgot I was in Primm. The band’s performance of “Stairway to Heaven” was so spot-on that I could have sworn Jimmy Page himself was on stage. That night remains one of my favorite memories in Primm.
The Performance
The band members don’t just play the music; they live it. Decked out in authentic costumes, they capture the spirit and energy of the original rock legends. The lead singer’s voice hits all the right notes, and the guitar solos are nothing short of epic. For a moment, you can almost believe you’re at a real rock concert.
Cirque de (Soleil) Primm
Topping my list is Cirque de (Soleil) Primm, an extraordinary blend of acrobatics, dance, and theater that’s nothing short of spectacular. This show redefines what a circus can be, with performances that are both visually stunning and emotionally moving.
Watching Cirque de Primm at the Star of the Desert Arena was like stepping into a dream. The performers executed stunning aerial maneuvers and gravity-defying stunts that had the audience on the edge of their seats.
I vividly remember a duo of contortionists who twisted and turned in ways that seemed impossible. The entire performance was a seamless blend of music, movement, and emotion. By the end of the show, I was both breathless and inspired
The Spectacle
Cirque de Primm features a talented cast of acrobats, contortionists, and aerialists who perform breathtaking stunts with precision and grace. Each act is choreographed to perfection, set against a backdrop of mesmerizing music and dazzling costumes. The sheer athleticism and artistry on display are enough to leave anyone in awe.
