Grabbing a bite is always an interesting topic for those who travel long distances. Finding a place that offers exceptional customer service and high-quality food is something people bookmark or write in their notebooks.
For those who are commuting between Los Angeles and Las Vegas frequently, stopping at Primm, Nevada is something they cannot avoid.
To make it easier for those who do, I want to present you with the best places to eat in Primm, from the perspective of a local.
Denny’s
- Address: 31900 S Las Vegas Blvd, Primm
- Working Hours: Open 24/7
- Contact: (702) 679-7577
- Cuisine: American Diner
Denny’s is easily among the best places to grab a bite in Primm. While I am frequently there in different parts of the day, the breakfast they serve is my favorite. I remember when I went there for the first time, I expected nothing more than an average diner, but I was proved wrong.
My expectations were surpassed a lot. The service is always top-notch, and it being open 24 hours is certainly beneficial for those on their way to Las Vegas. When it comes to food, I once again want to point out what they offer for breakfast. My top choice is Strawberry Stuffed French Toast Slam.
While pairing strawberry and eggs and bacon might be strange for some at first, you will quickly see just why so many adore it. There was only one time when I was disappointed with the food, and it was because of French fries. It was too dry, and both I and my husband were disappointed.
However, this didn’t happen again, so I can attribute it to mistakes that certainly occur from time to time. Another meal that I enjoy quite a bit is a bourbon chicken skillet, and I order it frequently.
What I love about Denny’s is that they offer numerous promos like birthday treats, kids eat free, and Denny’s rewards which offer significant discounts. All-in-all, I couldn’t recommend Denny’s more.
Pizza at Primm Valley Resort
- Address: 31900 Las Vegas Blvd, Primm
- Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 12 pm – 12 am; Friday – Sunday 12 pm – 1 am.
- Contact: (702) 386-7867
- Cuisine: Italian Cuisine/Pizza
Since I really love pizza, whenever I visit Primm Valley Resort, buying a takeout pizza is something I do often. The products are fresh and you can always expect to get a high-quality pizza whenever you visit it. Sometimes, I opt for chicken wings, but I mainly stay with pizza.
The prices are reasonable which is, according to many, uncharacteristic for resorts. I must say that I do not have a strong opinion on this. Those who stay at Primm Valley Resort for a couple of nights will certainly enjoy what they can get at a reasonable price, as I said.
Service is another strong point worth pointing out. Customer service is more than friendly, and they are always ready to recommend what to taste. Pizza at Primm Valley Resort is easily in my top 3 pizzas in the city.
Subway
- Address: 115 W. Primm Blvd, Primm
- Working Hours: Monday – Sunday: 7:00 am – 8:00 pm.
- Contact: (702) 679-6670
- Cuisine: American Diner/Truck Stop
Even though Subway is primarily a place for truckers, I love to visit it from time to time. The reason I pointed that out is that a lot of people have prejudices towards truck stops. But I must say that Subway, while providing the usual service truckers are used to, also provides an array of services that make this place stand out.
I cannot guarantee the whole chain of truck stops, but the one we have in Primm is a really good place where you can enjoy high-quality food and service. For instance, sandwiches are top-notch. My favorite is an All-American club, but the others like Supreme Meats and The Monster are not far behind.
For those who need food tailored to their diet, like gluten-free food, this is a not good place, for the simple reason that this is, at the end of the day, a truck stop. However, vegans can try out Vegan Delite, which is absolutely a gorgeous, crispy sandwich. Subway is the place to be, especially when you’re passing through on your road to Las Vegas.
Taco Bell
- Address: 32120 S Las Vegas Blvd, Primm,
- Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 9 am – 10 pm; Friday – Sunday 9 am – 11 pm.
- Contact: (702) 514-0972
- Cuisine: Mexican Fast Food
We all love Mexican food, there is no doubt about that, and Taco Bell is easily the best chain of Mexican restaurants in the US. The one in Primm doesn’t differentiate too much from those in the rest of the country when it comes to the menu, but I will certainly point out my favorites.
You can find all the most prevalent dishes in this cuisine, like nachos, quesadillas, burritos, and of course, tacos. Those interested in veggie food will certainly find something for them. Just taking a look at the menu will tell you that you are in a Mexican food paradise.
The food price is reasonable. My favorite, Crunchy Taco Supreme, is $3.19, which is, you will certainly agree, quite affordable. For those who are not too hungry but still want to grab a quick bite, Soft Taco is $2.19.
When it comes to drinks, you will come across the usual arsenal like wild strawberry freeze, diet pepsi, cherry pepsi, mug root beat, and many others. For all these reasons, I visit the local Taco Bell very often.
Carl’s Jr.
- Address: 32140 S Las Vegas Blvd, Primm
- Working Hours: Monday – Sunday: 6 am – 11 pm.
- Contact: (702) 874-0025
- Cuisine: Fast Food
Carl’s Jr. is a place where I do not go very often. However, me and my husband have a little ritual of ours. We stop here whenever we are on the road to Los Angeles. While the location is not directly on the road to Los Angeles, we don’t mind getting a detour.
Those who love burgers should always have this place in mind. Burgers were always fresh when we went there and the number of sauces they offer is nothing short of exceptional. What I love most about this place is the friendliness of the staff.
The service is exceptional and there wasn’t a single time when I and my husband would talk about it not being at the level we are used to. Another thing I always notice here is just how clean the place is. You don’t really notice that someone is going around you cleaning while you eat, but you cannot see a single stop on the floor or the tables.
Since the road to Los Angeles is quite long, and we do not stop at a lot of places despite their number, we tend to eat a lot at this place. I usually order a double spicy western bacon cheeseburger, while my husband enjoys a panko-breaded fish sandwich combo.
When it comes to drinks, we both order hand-crafted strawberry lemonade. Even though I do not come often, Carl’s Jr. has a place in my heart
IHOP
- Address: 100 W. Primm Blvd, Primm
- Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 6 am – 12 pm; Friday – Saturday: 24 hours; Sunday: 6 am – 12 pm.
- Contact: (702) 679-6577
- Cuisine: American Diner
The final place I want to talk about today is IHOP in Primm. IHOP is a place located near the Whiskey Pete’s Hotel and Casino. Since I am not too big of a gambler, I spend my time at IHOP when my husband goes out to slot machines.
The first time I came to this place I didn’t expect much since my experience with the places near casinos wasn’t the best. But this one changed my opinion for real. Whenever I arrive, I instantly order coffee, which is a damn good.
They are not necessarily bad, but I simply do not enjoy them as much as breakfast. Bacon and eggs are a sureshot in this place, and when you add coffee to the mix, you are in for a treat, you can be certain of that.
Final Reflections
Primm is a place that offers a lot of possibilities for those who are just passing through and they are interested in grabbing a bite. I, as a local, feel this and I simply adore visiting local places and enjoying their food.
My favorite place is IHOP, especially because of its coffee and pancakes as I pointed out. I hope my recommendations will be of help to those interested in visiting Primm, Nevada.
